I live in beautiful northwest Arkansas surrounded by the majestic Ozark mountains. This area is the perfect place to indulge my passion for the outdoors - wilderness walks, hiking, camping, canoeing, fishing, and gardening. My husband and I are blessed with two handsome sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law, and a cutie-pie of a grandson (with another on the way!). My days are full for an empty-nester. Besides my outdoor interests, extended family fun, writing, tutoring, baking and cooking, and a new cheese making hobby keep my mind and hands very busy. Part of my gardening joy extends to the art of herbal preparations for good health and a sweet-smelling home. Our family has always relied on herbal and other natural medicines to see us through various illnesses and complaints and it's a fine thing to gather many of them fresh from the herb garden. I thank my parents for passing on many valuable traditions...hard work, family gatherings, and a love for all things wild and wonderful.
